Château du Feÿ sits on a wooded hilltop above the Yonne valley in northern Burgundy, an hour and a half south of Paris by motorway. The 17th-century main house, classified as a Historic Monument, was sensitively restored with a sustainability-led brief, and the estate stretches across 103 acres of forest, organic kitchen gardens and courtyards. The bilingual team is well-practised with anglophone couples and frequently coordinates weekend takeovers for guests flying in from the UK and the US.
Hire is exclusive and typically runs across a long weekend, with 28 bedrooms in the château and outbuildings (the Farm, the Gîte, the Cottage) plus glamping for additional guests — lodging up to about 150 in total. Couples bring in their own caterer or work with the on-site partnership with Jean-Michel Lorain's two-Michelin-star kitchen in nearby Joigny. The 450-square-metre Orangerie, three courtyards and forest clearings provide flexible ceremony and reception options for groups up to several hundred.
